The Escape Behaviour constantly monitors the values of the micro switches which are connected to the R2R ladder network. As each switch has a unique vale/range it is possible to determine where on the robot a collision/bump has occurred. If the Escape Behaviour detected a collision it will tell the robot to back up and then turn in the opposite direction away from the point of contact with the obstacle with which the robot collided.
